Manufacturers, R&D labs, health care facilities and data centers on National Grid large-commercial rates in upstate New York can get up to $250,000 (25% customer share) for equipment that fixes documented power quality problems.
National Grid's Power Quality Enhancement Program reimburses part of the cost of power quality equipment and services, such as voltage ride-through equipment, harmonic filters, UPS systems, surge suppression and power quality monitoring, for upstate New York manufacturers, R&D facilities, health care providers and data centers that have a documented power quality problem. Grants are up to $250,000 and the customer must fund at least 25% of costs.
Owner of the business and a National Grid Service Classification 3, 3A or 4 electric customer in upstate New York
Business in manufacturing, research and development, health care or data centers
Must show a power quality problem causing production, operational or quality constraints; customer funds at least 25% of costs
Must be a National Grid customer in good standing (current on payments or on a deferred payment agreement)
