National Grid's 3-Phase Power Incentive Program gives grants of up to $300,000 to help small businesses and agribusinesses in upstate New York pay to extend three-phase electric service to their facility when growth requires it, or up to $400,000 if they install on-site renewable energy instead. Eligible sectors include manufacturing, regional warehousing and distribution, R&D, agribusiness, tourism and mining; grants are available on a continual basis.

Business in manufacturing, regional warehousing/distribution, scientific R&D, agribusiness, a tourism-related NAICS code, or mining and quarrying
Must show three-phase power is needed for increased load, that alternatives were evaluated, and the ability to retain or attract jobs and investment
Must be a National Grid customer in good standing (current on payments or on a deferred payment agreement)
