North Carolina small-business exporters can be reimbursed up to $12,000 for trade show booths and travel, export marketing, website localization, e-commerce and EXIM insurance fees, lead subscriptions and U.S. Commercial Service services during STEP 13 (through Sept 29, 2027).
STEP reimburses qualifying North Carolina small-business exporters up to $12,000 for business-building export activities: up to $3,000 for travel to co-exhibit in an EDPNC trade show booth, and up to $8,000 for qualifying trade show booth costs, export services and marketing media, website localization and e-commerce fees, EXIM credit insurance fees, international marketing lead subscriptions and U.S. Commercial Service export services. The funds are a grant that does not need to be repaid. STEP 13 runs June 30, 2026 through September 29, 2027; interested companies apply through their EDPNC international trade manager.
