This fund gives non-dilutive grants to organizations with a new healthcare technology for preventing and managing chronic disease that can be used in targeted rural Virginia localities. It is part of Virginia's federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program. Products must be between proof of concept and minimum viable product (TRL 4-7). Applications are due October 29, 2026.
Companies, startups, universities, nonprofits, governmental, and Tribal entities are all eligible.
Companies must be fewer than 10 years since founding, with less than $50 million in prior funding raised.
Organizations must be U.S.-based and U.S.-owned.
Provide direct services to rural Virginia communities as defined by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP).
