$50,000 grants, funded in a single tranche, for high-potential, early-stage Virginia companies that are pre-MVP and pre-product revenue. A 1:1 match of non-dilutive capital or in-kind contributions is required. Cycle 7 applications are being accepted with an application deadline of October 30 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST; grants are expected to be funded on or around December 4.
Stage: pre-MVP (minimum viable product)
Revenue: pre-product revenue; excludes non-dilutive capital
Fundraising: no angel or venture capital raises; up to $300,000 raised from family and friends acceptable, provided the funds were raised at least 90 days prior to application
