Kentucky Proud members (farms, food makers, restaurants, markets) with direct Kentucky farm impact can be reimbursed up to 50% of new advertising and marketing costs, up to $8,000 per award ($36,000 lifetime). Monthly review; applications due the last day of each month.
Reimburses up to 50% of future eligible advertising and marketing expenses (ads, web, labels and packaging, trade show booths, graphic design and similar) for Kentucky Proud members promoting products with direct Kentucky farm impact. An award cannot exceed 10 percent of the applicant's reported direct Kentucky farm impact, with an $8,000 maximum and a $36,000 lifetime maximum, and funds are first-come, first-served. Applications are due the last day of each month for review at the next monthly meeting; the program is funded by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board from tobacco settlement funds.
Must be a member of Kentucky Proud (members with Supporter status are not eligible)
Must have direct Kentucky farm impact (the value of agricultural products bought, sold, grown, raised, produced and sourced from Kentucky farms)
Applicant must be age 18 or older
Not retroactive: only expenses incurred after the application is approved are eligible
The grant is withheld if the applicant is delinquent in state taxes
