Arkansas small businesses that are export-ready and at least one year old can be reimbursed up to 80% of pre-approved export costs (trade shows, trade missions, market research, international marketing), up to $20,000 per company per grant period. Apply at least 45 days before the activity.
AR-STEP, provided through the U.S. Small Business Administration and administered by World Trade Center Arkansas, reimburses eligible Arkansas small businesses for pre-approved export activities such as trade shows, trade missions, market research and international marketing services. It may reimburse up to 80% of eligible, pre-approved expenses, capped at $20,000 per company per grant period (a company may receive up to seven approved awards within that cap). Applications must be submitted at least 45 calendar days before the activity and are reviewed in the order received; funding is limited and reimbursement is never guaranteed.

Export-ready: able to produce goods/services for international sale and handle compliance, logistics and after-sales service

Able to cover all costs up front and assume at least 20% of expenses as non-reimbursable
EIN as an Arkansas corporation; good standing with the Arkansas Secretary of State and a current tax clearance letter
Products or services with at least 51% U.S. content
Every activity must be pre-approved in writing by the WTC Arkansas administering office
