BRAIN Initiative: Research Resource Grants for Technology Integration and Dissemination (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

National Institutes of HealthCloses Oct 6, 2028(724 days left)

Does this fit your business?

This is an NIH BRAIN Initiative grant for organizations that already have a neuroscience research resource—tools, reagents, technology platforms, or training programs—and want funding to disseminate it to the research community. It is not for businesses developing new products or serving general markets; if your work has no connection to neuroscience research resources, do not apply. Retail, finance, and housing businesses scored as poor fits with nothing in the notice pointing to them.

Best for
Small businesses and for-profits that distribute neuroscience research tools, reagents, or technology platforms, Universities and research institutions running user training or shared technology facilities, Nonprofits disseminating existing BRAIN-relevant research resources, Organizations providing technical assistance and training to neuroscience researchers
Not for
Retail, e-commerce, finance, or housing businesses with no neuroscience research role, Organizations seeking funding to invent or develop new technologies rather than disseminate existing ones, Foreign organizations or U.S. projects relying on foreign subawards

Summary

Open to small businesses, for-profits, nonprofits, universities, governments, tribes, and others; foreign entities ineligible.

About this grant

This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) supports efforts to disseminate resources for integration into neuroscience research practice. The resource(s) should be relevant to the goals of the BRAIN Initiative as outlined in the "BRAIN 2025: A Scientific Vision" and "The BRAIN Initiative 2.0: From Cells to Circuits, Toward Cures" and shared broadly to the neuroscience community. The resource(s) should address compelling needs of neuroscience researchers that are otherwise unavailable or impractical in their current form. Activities must include dissemination of an existing resource, and may include one or more of the following activities: distribution of tools and reagents; user training on the usage of new technologies or techniques; providing access to existing technology platforms and/or specialized facilities; minor improvements to increase the scale/efficiency of resource production and delivery; minor adaptations to meet the needs of a user community.
