VIPC grants up to $50,000 (Track 1) or $50,000–$500,000 a year (Track 2) to Virginia organizations, including businesses, that support tech entrepreneurs. Rolling, year-round proposals.
The state-funded Regional Innovation Fund gives competitive grants to organizations, including businesses, that serve science- and technology-based entrepreneurs and ecosystems in Virginia, such as accelerators, incubators and training providers. Grants cannot be passed through to startups as investments, grants, stipends or loans. VIPC accepts proposals on a rolling basis throughout the year.
RIF eligibility is limited to organizations — business, government, academic, and nonprofit — that are:
Headquartered, maintaining, or establishing a significant operating presence, in Virginia
