Ohio employers of any size can be reimbursed up to $1,000 per employee per approved technology credential (max $30,000 per application) for training from eligible providers. Current window closes Oct 30, 2026 at 3 pm.
TechCred reimburses Ohio employers for training current and prospective employees in technology-focused credentials from an eligible list through eligible training providers. Reimbursement is up to $1,000 per person per credential and $30,000 per application; training must start on or after the first day of the application period and finish within 12 months. The current application period opened October 1, 2026 and closes at 3:00 pm on October 30, 2026.
Ohio employers registered with the Secretary of State with a physical, non-residential business location in Ohio employing Ohio-resident W-2 employees reported to Ohio unemployment insurance, with income tax withheld
Employers of all sizes and in all industries are encouraged to apply; one application per employer (FEIN) per application period
Public entities are not eligible
Credential earners must be Ohio residents and W-2 employees at the reimbursement request; 1099 contractors are not eligible
Training must come from the eligible list of training providers
