About this grant

DHHS uses federal Child Care and Development Block Grant funds for three grants to Nebraska child care homes and centers. Start-Up and Expansion grants help new providers meet licensing requirements or help existing providers add capacity, up to $5,000 for homes and $10,000 for centers. Emergency Mini Grants of up to $1,000 or $2,000 cover inspection-required items, and Quality Improvement grants of up to $500 cover program or curriculum quality. Applications are accepted every month and must be postmarked by the first of the month.
