PWQ reimburses Maryland employers up to 50% of the qualified direct costs of formal, third-party, classroom and on-the-job training, such as curriculum development, course books and materials, and instructor salary and expenses. The minimum grant is $5,000 (a training project of at least $10,000) and an employer may not receive more than $200,000 per year; at least 60% of funds go to employers with 150 or fewer Maryland employees, and manufacturing and technology companies get priority. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no fixed deadline, through the Commerce regional representative for your area.
