Delaware companies with 100 or fewer FTEs that won an SBIR/STTR Phase I and applied for Phase II can get up to $50,000 to bridge the gap, covering salaries after Phase I, research, patents, market research, product planning and business plan development.
Transition grants for Delaware companies that have won a federal SBIR or STTR Phase I award and applied for Phase II, so they can keep staff and continue research while awaiting the Phase II decision. The maximum grant is $50,000 per application, and a company may receive up to five DTIP grants within a rolling ten-year period. Eligible costs include post-Phase I salaries, research, patent work, market research and product planning. No application deadline is published.

The majority of the business's operations must be located in Delaware, including a physical presence in the state

Applicant must have current business and professional licenses and provide three years of financials
Applicant must be in good standing under the laws of the State of Delaware
