National Facilities

U.S. National Science FoundationNo deadline listed

Does this fit your business?

This NSF program funds the operation of national user research facilities—large, specialized labs (high magnetic fields, synchrotron radiation, neutron scattering, nanofabrication) that serve the broad scientific community. It is for organizations that already run or are positioned to operate such a facility, not for ordinary small businesses seeking working capital or R&D money. If you are not operating a specialized shared research facility, do not bother applying.

Best for
Operators of national user research facilities with specialized instrumentation, Universities and labs running shared research infrastructure, Nonprofits and higher-ed institutions providing open user science services, Organizations combining facility operations with education and outreach
Not for
Retail, e-commerce, finance, or real estate businesses with no research facility role, Companies seeking general operating cash or product development funding, Applicants looking for a published deadline or award amount
