Questions about this grant

When is the application deadline?
November 12, 2027.
Who can apply for this grant?
The award targets NINDS intramural neurologist- and neurosurgeon-scientists transitioning to independent academic faculty positions. The eligibility codes list many organization types, including small businesses, for-profits, nonprofits, governments, and higher education institutions, but the target population is NINDS intramural fellows.
Can a sole proprietor or single-member LLC apply?
The facts do not say. Small businesses are listed as eligible applicant types, but the program is aimed at NINDS intramural clinician-scientists, so a sole proprietor or single-member LLC is unlikely to be the intended applicant.
Can a nonprofit apply?
Yes. Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status and nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education) are listed as eligible applicant types, though the program targets NINDS intramural fellows.
