Emerging Infections Network - Research for Preventing, Detecting, and Managing Travel-associated Infectious Diseases

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - ERACloses Nov 5, 2026(23 days left)$1,750,000 – $6,000,000

Does this fit your business?

This is a CDC research program for organizations that can run disease surveillance among international travelers, either through clinic-based sentinel networks or detection at international transportation hubs. Awards are large ($1.75M to $6M) and only about 2 are expected, so it suits established research and public health institutions, not small businesses looking for modest operating funds. Retail, finance, housing, and similar businesses with no health research role should not bother.

Best for
Public health researchers at universities, State, county, city, and tribal health agencies, Nonprofits running clinic-based disease surveillance, For-profit organizations with travel-medicine or diagnostics research capability
Not for
Retail, finance, housing, and other businesses with no infectious disease or surveillance research role, Organizations unable to run a $1.75M+ federal research or surveillance project
